Auditions for the musical "1776"
Aspen Community Theatre will hold auditions for their fall musical "1776" on September 10th and 11th at the Aspen District Theatre. "1776" is a passionate and humorous look at the politics and personalities that led to the signing of the Declaration of Independence. Roles are available for adults of all ages and abilities. Wilderness First Aid Course
The 10th Mountain Division Hut Association is hosting a two-day Wilderness First Aid Course sponsored by the Wilderness Medicine Institute of NOLS on September 11th and 12th. A Mother/Daughter Book Club
The Gordon Cooper Branch Library in Carbondale will be hosting a mother/daughter book club on the first Monday of every month. Pathfinders and CMC
Class for Caregivers
Pathfinders and Colorado Mountain College are partnering to provide coping tools, support, learning, and resources for those in caregiving roles. The three 90-minute classes will take place at the CMC Aspen Campus on Thursday evenings in September. Registration at 925-7740 or at coloradomtn.edu.

Red Brick Center for the Arts
Autumn Crafts Workshop for Toddlers
The Red Brick Center for the Arts is hosting an Autumn Crafts workshop for toddlers and their parent or caregiver on Wednesday, September 15, from 10:30 to 11:30 am. Children will explore fall textures and colors using leaves, pine cones, glue and paint to create take home crafts. Space is limited. More information at AspenArt.org or 429-2777.

The Friends of the Gordon Cooper Library
One Book, One Town
The Friends of the Gordon Cooper Library are announcing the start of the sixth annual One Book, One Town community read. The library has copies of this year's book choice "Running Dry: A Journey from Source to Sea Down the Colorado River" by local author and adventurer, Jonathan Waterman, for check out now. Programming and discussions about the book will be in October.
