5Point Adventure Film Festival April lineup announced

The 5Point Film Festival announced the festivities for the April festival

This year, there is a larger amount of films directed by women. About ten women are showing their films at the event, when typically that number is about two or three.

5Point Film executive director Sarah Wood says that it is a good sign for the outdoor film industry.

“They have just gained confidence and have leaned on us and other festivals for guidance and support and feedback on their pieces,” said Wood. “They’re stepping up to the plate which is great.

The 5Point staff began the film selection process in September when they sorted through over 400 films.

In addition to what the group calls a “concert-style” film festival, the event includes a new speaker series.
