On Tuesday, local addiction treatment group “A Way Out” is hosting a discussion on the opioid epidemic through the lenses of family, trauma and recovery.
Speakers include family practitioners, addiction experts and people in recovery themselves. Presenters will discuss how family history and past trauma influence addiction. The forum will also focus on solutions for curbing addiction in families with a special presentation by William Moyers, son of the journalist Bill Moyers, on hisrecovery from addiction.
The forum is from 8:15 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Hotel Jerome.
