Aspen narrows down high school principal candidates

Elise Thatcher

Aspen's School District may choose a final candidate for high school principal today. There are three candidates left. All were grilled Monday by more than 30 parents, teachers, students and board members.

Superintendent John Maloy says that team will decide today whether to whittle it down further. “Do we have a strong candidate that we’ll put forward,” he says, “[or] do we have two strong candidates in which we need to build some consensus around?” Maloy says so far it seems unlikely the District will have to start the search over again. Staff start work the week of August 17th.
