Aspen Snowmass sees record-breaking September

Aspen Snowmass had it’s busiest September ever. For the second year in a row the resort experienced more visitors in September than it did in June.

Labor Day weekend was the busiest of the entire summer. Nearly 97 percent of hotel rooms were booked throughout Aspen and Snowmass Village.

A report this week from Stay Aspen Snowmass President Bill Tomcich shows that the increased visitor numbers even occurred mid-week. More people booked their stays ahead of time. The average room rate for the month was $317 in Aspen, $175 in Snowmass Village.

October is also on track to log higher bookings than last year, but Tomcich said that November will be it’s typical quiet time in the valley.
