CDOT to hold regional telephone town hall

CDOT

The Colorado Department of Transportation is asking for public input, with telephone town hall meetings around the state. That includes one in the Roaring Fork Valley area.

The virtual gathering for Garfield, Eagle and Pitkin counties is scheduled for a week from Thursday, on June 23. Participants will mainly be chosen randomly, as the agency plans to dial up locals and ask them to participate in a call-in town hall.

CDOT officials said the point is to give the agency, “the opportunity to hear from people on how best to invest our limited funds and the projects they think should be a priority.”

Approximately 350,000 people statewide will be called by the agency, and then directly connected to the regional meeting. Those who don’t get a call from CDOT but want to join in can dial in through a toll free line
