On Wednesday, Colorado Mountain College (CMC) is celebrating breaking ground on two new buildings at their Spring Valley campus, just outside of Glenwood Springs.
A new fitness center will be built on the east side of the Spring Valley campus, near the soccer fields.
The other building is a new student center, where the admissions offices will be, as well as a bookstore, a coffee shop, and some classrooms.
CMC has budgeted around $19 million for construction. It’s projected to take about a year to build the two buildings.
CMC President and CEO Dr. Carrie Hauser and Dr. Heather Exby, Glenwood Springs Campus Dean, will speak at a ceremony at noon.
