Deaf Camp Benefit Returns To Snowmass

Jeremy Swanson

The annual Deaf Camp benefit returns to Snowmass on Saturday. The event raises funds to bring children who are deaf and hard of hearing to the Roaring Fork Valley for outdoor adventures.

The Deaf Camp Benefit is one of the valley’s oldest traditions, and longtime residents will recall John Denver headlining the concert in the 60s and 70s.

Lesa Thomas, Aspen Camp’s executive director, said the event is a way to connect with the community and to highlight the camp’s mission to build leadership skills in its campers.

90s rock band "The Spin Doctors" headlines the event this year. Deaf singer Mandy Harvey, who performed on "America’s Got Talent," is also on the lineup.
