Eagle’s airport prepares for uptick in flights

The Eagle County Regional Airport in Gypsum will see an increase in the number of flights this coming ski season.

During the holiday period, which extends roughly from mid-December to mid-January, American Airlines is adding a second daily flight from Chicago and expanding its daily flights from Phoenix until April.

United Airlines will also offer weekend flights to and from Chicago until April.

Flights from Salt Lake City are also returning during the holiday period. Delta will offer a daily flight with 69 seats, which is the first time this flight has been offered since the 1994/1995 winter season.

In Aspen, both United and American Airlines added a flight for this fall to Sardy Field.
