Luis Alberto Urrea's advice to authors: Subvert!

Author Luis Alberto Urrea was born in Tijuana and raised in California. He often writes about bicultural experiences. His newest novel is "The House of Broken Angels."

 

 

Ahead of his visit to Aspen, he talked with arts reporter Christin Kay about writing a novel rooted in his own life and heritage.  

Urrea will speak as a part of Aspen Words' Winter Words series on April 3.
