More than $25,000 total bond for Carbondale standoff defendant

18-year-old Andres Carrillo-Delara is being held on a $25,000 dollar bond at the Garfield County jail, after an hours-long incident on Tuesday.

Andres Carrillo-Delara appeared in court Wednesday, where a judge expressed concern about the seriousness of the standoff between the defendant and law enforcement, plus previous threats against the district attorney’s office and yet another incident.

“He is also being held on a warrant out of Eagle County, on a bond for $10,000,” said 9th Judicial District Attorney Sherry Caloia after Wednesday’s hearing. “That is for a separate incident. Eagle County District Attorneys and we will discuss whether we can do a resolution of his case there and the case here.” The Eagle County charges are for felony trespass and car theft.

Andres Carrillo-Delara allegedly threatened family Tuesday in Carbondale, with what is described as a black BB gun before retreating to a bedroom. He surrendered hours later, after putting the entire town of Carbondale on high alert.
