The Naked and Famous, 'Stripped'

Tuscon Weekly

Indie-electronic band The Naked and Famous put down the synthesizers and picked up acoustic guitars for their newest album, "A Still Heart."  They play the Belly Up this Saturday.

Arts reporter Christin Kay talked to guitarist and vocalist Thom Powers about how showing the band’s softer side has brought new energy to both their music and their latest tour.

Powers said it’s taken the band nearly a decade to develop the confidence to play an acoustic set.

Even though the audience is in their chairs for this tour, not in the mosh pit, he said it’s a welcome change.
