14erphotography.com

A new exhibit opening Wednesday at Colorado Mountain College’s Aspen campus looks back at 30 years of photography by Derek Johnston.

Johnston, who also teaches at CMC, has tackled a range of topics in his photography, from Colorado landscapes, to wooly mammoths frozen in time at museums.

For one project, he climbed and documented all of Colorado’s Fourteeners.

His experimental digital works will also be on display.

An opening reception for “Derek Johnston: Thirty Years of Image Making” starts at 5 p.m. Wednesday evening.
