Garfield County doesn’t have a detox center. People who are withdrawing from alcohol, drugs, or both, can go to the emergency room at Valley View Hospital, but that’s about it.
The Garfield County Board of Commissioners discussed the issue during their regular meeting on Monday. Producer Christin Kay sat down with reporter Wyatt Orme to learn more about detox centers, why Garfield County doesn’t have one, and what needs to happen in order to get one.
