Riverview School is the new dual-language, K-8 school, south of Glenwood Springs.
The ribbon for its grand opening will be cut on Thursday, Aug. 31 around 5 p.m. The school will offer curriculum in both English and Spanish, with the goal of sending students to high school able to read, write and speak in both languages.
There are 345 students who are enrolled and 45 staff members. The $34 million project was meant to ease overcrowding at existing schools in Glenwood Springs. School starts on Tuesday, Sept. 5.
