This morning’s delays should be no more than 20 minutes as crews set up head-to-head traffic lanes around the circle. The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) recommends drivers take a detour via Mclain Flats and Cemetery Lane, unless travelers need to get to Maroon Creek or Castle Creek roads.

Today’s longest delays are expected to be about an hour, between 11am and noon… when CDOT plans to limit access to Maroon and Castle Creek. Roaring Fork Transportation Authority buses will travel normal routes and wait through the roundabout delays until the hour closure. During that time the Intercept Lot will be used as a transfer stop and the bypass route will be used. More details about RFTA schedules, delays and shuttles available here.

Despite the delays coinciding with the start of the Aspen School District school day, students are expected to be in class on time. The Aspen Valley Hospital will be working with CDOT throughout the day to ensure ambulance access in case of emergency.
