Monday is the deadline to file a nomination petition to run for mayor of Snowmass or city council.
The election takes place on the sixth of november. There are two town council seats for four-year terms and the mayoral seat for a two-year term are up for grabs. Candidates must have lived in Snowmass for a year leading up to the election.
All three incumbents - Mayor Markey Butler and councilmen Bob Sirkus (like Circus) and Bill Madsen are running.
Nomination petitions must be filed by 5 pm with the town clerk.
