Week in the Arts - November 23rd

On Monday at the Third Street Center in Carbondale is a different take on the Thanksgiving feasts you’ll be having later in the week. Come to a potluck with plant-based foods that will be created on the spot! Bowls, plates and utensils are not provided.

On Wednesday at The Mountain Chalet in Aspen there is Bruce’s Annual “try to find a date for New Years Party” Dance to the oldies event. Music from the ‘60s, ‘70s and ‘80s will be played starting at 6.

Friday at Base Village in Snowmass, Thanksjibbing is your rails-only post-Thanksgiving introduction to the winter season. The actual riding is invite-only but you can watch and even go Turkey Bowling.

If you’re still in Snowmass, prints from artists in residence at the Anderson Ranch Arts Center will be on sale. Prints date back to the early 1990s. Proceeds benefit the ranch and its programs.

On Sunday, Warren Haynes and the Ashes & Dust Band play at the Belly Up in Aspen. He’s known for his guitar work for The Allman Brothers and is a founding member of the jam band, Gov’t Mule.
