Week in the Arts - November 2nd

The La Catrina Quartet will be playing a concert from Latin American and European repertoires at the Basalt Regional Library. The group is currently teaching at New Mexico State University in Las Cruces.

 

Thursday at the Belly Up in Aspen, Rusted Root, famous for their song “Send Me on My Way” for what is about their tenth performance in the Valley.

 

If you want a more classical experience for your Thursday music, see the CU Boulder Eklund Opera Theater Singers at Harris Concert hall. The group will also perform at Christ Episcopal Church on Friday.

 

A trio of new exhibits open up at the Aspen Art museum on Friday. Liz Larner, Diana Thater and Anna Sew Hoy will display their art, which will reside in the museum for the next few months.

 

Opening Friday at the Aspen District Theatre is Aspen Community Theatre’s performance of Beauty and the Beast. The show runs over two weekends.

 

Finally, First Friday’s comes to Carbondale for another night of exploring art and culture in the mid-valley.
