Good afternoon and welcome to Valley Roundup, a review of the week’s top news stories in Aspen and beyond.

We are joined today by Curtis Wackerle of the Aspen Daily News.

We’ll discuss Garfield County’s intention to sue the State of Colorado over the high cost of health care premiums in mountain communities.  If the county were to win the effects could be felt up and down the valley.

Also this week the Colorado Court of Appeals has ruled against a developer who challenged Aspen’s affordable housing program requirements.

Retail marijuana will soon be for sale in Aspen.  To assure a smooth rollout in the community, local officials have created the Valley Marijuana Council.

This week a top executive of Colorado’s health care exchange was put on leave after she was indicted for fraud and embezzlement in Montana.We’ll talk with Clair Johnson, the Billings Gazette reporter who broke the story of the indictments.
