More GarCo mediation needed for CRMS, Satank solution

Garfield County

Carbondale community members and Garfield County Commissioners are one step closer to resolving an access dispute. On Monday County commissioners were supposed to put the issue to rest, but those involved hadn’t collaborated on a solution.

“I would move that we commission -- I guess that’s the right word-- [that] our staff to meet with three citizens and CRMS,” said County Commissioner Mike Samson. “To come up with a proposal with the items that they can agree on for this right away, and the things that they can’t.”

The conflict centers around a County right of way that passes through the campus for Colorado Rocky Mountain School. The earliest Commissioners could approve a compromise would be June 15th. CRMS can continue putting up a sign near the right of way.
