Garfield County wants feedback about broadband

http://ventureburn.com/

Garfield County is taking a look at broadband, and officials want to know what internet access is like for residents and business owners.

Garfield and Mesa counties want to put together a plan to improve broadband services. They've already received a grant from the Department of Local Affairs (DOLA), which also requires assessing the need in both counties.

Garfield County officials say they will put out a survey to better understand internet services, use, and speed in various places around the county. The review will also determine how much residents and businesses are currently paying for access and what a good price range is.

Garfield County is also planning several community meetings on the matter. The first is Friday, June 3rd at the Garfield County library in Glenwood Springs.
