Around 2:10 p.m. today, a wildfire broke out south of Willits and west of Emma near Elk Run Ranch. The fire was contained to approximately 5 acres. The wildfire is assumed to have started from a permitted ditch burn and spread by the windy conditions, but the fire is still being investigated.
