Protesters in Denver gather on Friday to express their dissent over the Supreme Court's decision to overturn the landmark Roe v. Wade decision.

Hours after the US Supreme Court overturned the landmark decision that protected the right to access safe and legal abortion services, Denverites took to the streets Friday evening to register their dissent. The gutting of Roe v. Wade occurred as The League of Women Voters – a nonpartisan, grassroots organization that works to protect and expand voting rights – was in downtown Denver for its annual conference. League of Women Voter members joined hundreds of other Coloradans at the state capitol for a spontaneous demonstration. KGNU’s Verity Matthews was there.
