Abby O’Brien is pursuing an MA in Journalism at CU Boulder.

  • Columbia Cemetery in Boulder is the burial site of Fredricka Baunn, who died in 1871 from a uterine hemorrhage following an abortion. Dr. Mary Solander, who performed the procedure, was convicted of manslaughter and became the first woman imprisoned in the Colorado state penitentiary.
