Chris founded Ryan Investments in 2001 and is responsible for creating iFolios®, an active allocation and trend-following strategy used by the firm to manage client portfolios. He splits his responsibilities between CEO and Financial Advisor, and is a member of the Investment Committee. His previous experience includes Sr. Portfolio Manager with NationsBank Private Client Group, Sr. Vice President with Merrill Lynch and Senior Valuation Analyst with Ernst & Young.
Chris earned his B.S. in Finance and M.S. in Accounting from the University of Colorado Boulder and holds designations including CPA (Certified Public Accountant – Colorado) and CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst). He has already served 7 years on the board of Aspen Public Radio and, as a public radio junkie, is coming back for more. He has served on the Pitkin County Financial Advisory Board and is a current member of the CFA Institute and the CFA Society of Colorado.
Chris and his wife, Donnie, have lived in Aspen for 20 years and have been busy raising their three daughters who are all off pursuing college degrees. With their new found free time, you’ll find them skiing, cycling and partaking in many of the local activities that make Aspen Snowmass great.
