Another new principal for the Roaring Fork School District this fall

The Roaring Fork School District has added another new principal to the roster.Jennifer Ellsperman is taking over as Principal for Basalt Middle School. She previously taught fifth grade there, and most recently was assistant principal at Basalt Elementary School.

Ellsperman says she is thrilled about the new position and plans to continue major themes already in place at the school. “What has really been a stronghold for the middle school is the positivity,” she explained by phone on Friday. “The culture around the habits of the scholar, which we’ve implemented districtwide.”

Ellsperman say’s she’ll also check in with staff and parents about their vision for the school. She joins three other new principals for the District. They’ll serve at Glenwood Springs Middle School, Basalt High School and Crystal River Elementary in Carbondale.
