Aspen Music Festival And School Offers Free Tickets To Furloughed Workers

The Aspen Music Festival and School is offering free tickets to federal workers who have been furloughed.

Government employees who aren’t collecting a paycheck due to the shutdown can attend one of the concerts in the school’s winter music series.

The series starts Tuesday with a performance by pianist Yefim Bronfman. Two other recitals take place in February; one with violinist Jennifer Koh and pianist Shai Wosner on Feb. 7, and another with pianist Marc-André Hamelin on Feb. 28.

Federal workers affected by the government shutdown can claim their free pair of tickets by calling the Harris Concert Hall box office.
