According to a Conde Nast Traveler reader poll, Aspen is the second best small city in the United States. Charleston, South Carolina, took the top spot.

Three-hundred thousand votes were submitted in the survey in which Aspen beat out other skiing destinations like Park City, Utah, Telluride, and Jackson, Wyoming.

The cities had to have populations less than one-hundred fifty thousand. The poll cited Aspen’s natural landscape and access to arts, culture and dining. Conde Nast said it’s also the greenest, healthiest and most sophisticated small city in America.

The selections are part of a 29-year annual reader’s choice poll.
