Aspen is kicking off the process of hiring a new city manager. Drew Gorgey from the recruitment firm Peckham & McKenney will present at a city council work session Tuesday.
He’ll provide an overview of how the firm will recruit and select candidates.
Peckham & McKenney signed a $25,000 contract with Aspen. The firm also helped hire Basalt town manager Ryan Mahoney.
If the city wants the firm to help with more public engagement during the process, like focus group surveys, that will cost extra.
The city’s next step is scheduling a meeting that will cement a timeline and detailed outline for hiring the new manager.
