Body Identified By Garfield County Coroner

Garfield County Coroner

 

The Garfield County Coroner’s office has identified the body found along the Colorado River at the Grizzly Creek Rest Area on I-70.

Matthew Davis was a 26-year-old resident of Delta, the coroner reports.

 

He died by a gunshot wound to the head. Investigators found a gun within reach of his body, leaving them to believe it was a suicide.

 

The Garfield County Coroner’s office is requesting any information regarding his whereabouts prior to the arrival at the rest area.
