The Castle Creek Bridge in Aspen will be undergoing construction from Monday, October 7 to Friday, October 11. Operations will be from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. to mill both lanes of the bridge and lay new asphalt.
Westbound, or down valley, traffic on the bridge will be detoured via 6th Street to Power Plant Road. Eastbound, or up valley, traffic will still use the Castle Creek Bridge, but with delays.
Roaring Fork Transportation Authority (RFTA) buses and school buses will use 7th Street to come into town. Traffic leaving town will be temporarily halted to allow outbound buses through.
The 8th Street bus stop will remain open during the week. The 6th Street bus stop will be closed, so riders should use the 4th Street stop instead.
Sixth Street parking will be temporarily closed during detour operations.
