Eagle BOCC continues Tree Farm review

Eagle County

The Eagle County Board of Commissioners meets Monday, April 24 in El Jebel to continue their review of the Tree Farm. It’s a proposed development in the mid-valley that's generated heated debate.

Monday's meeting is the third of its kind and Eagle’s commissioners might reach a decision on the project, but there’s a lot of ground to cover. At the last meeting, on April 11, the commissioners told the developer, Woody Ventures, they’d like to see more affordable housing units. Woody Ventures proposed 340 residential units, of which 43 would be deed restricted. The commissioners said they wanted more.

Woody Ventures has increased the number to 50 and has also included more price levels. Their representatives plan to present on the sustainability of their project and how it will impact the community economically.

The meeting begins at 5 p.m. at the El Jebel Community Center. There will be time for public comment.
