  Today is Wednesday, August 5th.Join Aspen Music Festival President and CEO Alan Fletcher, Music Director Robert Spano and Aspen Opera Theater Director Edward Berkeley today at noon in Paepcke Auditorium. They’ll be examining the 19th century view of exoticism and orientalism in opera as a run-up to Friday evening’s semi-staged performance of Verdi’s Aida in the Benedict Music Tent. That performance will feature the Aspen Festival Orchestra, Colorado Symphony Chorus, and a star-studded cast of singers. These High Notes programs are always free, and offer fascinating insights about the music and musicians you’re enjoying this summer.
