Fiorina visits Aspen

Carly for America

Republican Presidential Candidate Carly Fiorina will be in Aspen for a few hours tomorrow to attend a private event and visit with Pitkin County Republicans.

Fiorina is the first 2016 Republican candidate to come through Aspen. Hillary Clinton was in town last summer. County republican chair Bob Jenkins says the large presidential field encourages discourse and provides something for everyone.

“You certainly don’t want to stay home and not be involved in the political process this year because you think all politicians are the same," said Jenkins. "You’ve got a lot to choose from and a lot of diversity to look at this time.”

Fiorina will travel to Aspen after a stop in Denver. Next week Marco Rubio will be stopping through Denver as well. Jenkins says he is sure more candidates will come through here as the race continues, and Colorado’s March first caucus nears. The Pitkin County Republicans will not endorse a candidate during the primaries.
