Glenwood considers beefing up marijuana regulations

http://kotaku.com

Glenwood City Council is looking at making marijuana stores and other related operations harder to open. Officials are considering adding the planning commission as another review for new retail and medical stores. That would also apply to manufacturing and testing pot products.

“It gives the public much more of an opportunity to get involved in the process,” says Glenwood Springs Community Development Director Andrew McGregor. Beefing up requirements comes after well-attended public hearings earlier this summer. If approved, the changes would add three months and require dozens of hours of City staff time.
