Local Photographer, Filmmaker Witnesses Reconnection Of Colorado River To The Sea

Last month the Colorado River met the sea for the first time in about two decades thanks to what’s called a “pulse flow.” Local photographer and filmmaker Pete McBride was there to see it. He was taking photos for an upcoming article in Outside Magazine. Aspen Public Radio's Marci Krivonen spoke with him this week, about the experience.

Pete McBride is a local photographer and filmmaker. He’s giving a presentation about the Colorado Delta and the pulse flow Thursday night at the Wheeler Opera House. The event, called Wild Rivers Night, starts at 7 pm. It's free with a suggested donation and includes a screening of the film DamNation.
