Music lineup for 45th Mountain Fair announced

Over a dozen acts will be performing at July’s Mountain Fair in Carbondale.

The music starts on Friday, July 29 with a drum circle and the opening ceremonies of the 45th festival.

 

Sneaky Pete and the Secret Weapons take the stage at Sopris Park later that day. One of the members of the group is a native of the Roaring Fork Valley.

 

Saturday’s music lineup is highlighted by Niceness and Gipsy Moon. The PigPenTheatre Company also performs that afternoon. The Huffington Post called their debut album one of the best of 2012.

 

Black Lillies close out the festival on Sunday night. They group has played at some of the biggest festivals and venues around, including Bonnaroo and Pickathon. They also performed at the Grand Ole Opry.

Patrick Fort grew up in the suburbs of Pittsburgh, nurturing a love for ice hockey and deli sandwiches. After moving to Colorado in 2010 to attend the University of Colorado to study music, Patrick discovered his love for journalism. In 2013, Patrick created and hosted the award-winning radio program Colorado Stories, a news program that covered CU and the surrounding community. An avid mountain and road cyclist, Patrick also referees youth ice hockey. He loves '60s pop bands and and trying new recipes ranging from milk-braised carnitas to flourless cakes.
