No snow means no lessons

Typically, the weekend after the Thanksgiving kick-off of Aspen’s ski season, the Aspen Skiing Company has hundreds of lessons available. But, with Elk Camp Meadows the only guaranteed terrain, those are a no-go for this weekend.

For brand-new skiers and riders, Elk Camp Meadows offers the perfect beginner terrain. The two-day locals clinic scheduled for the weekend will carry on if those who have already registered are beginers. For those who were seeing intermediate and advanced terrain, SkiCo will be calling each person individually once the clinics are rescheduled.

For visitors that have already signed up for lessons or childcare, the 48-hour cancellation policy will be waived. The hundreds of “Beginners Magic” classes, private lessons, and adult and teen group lessons have been removed from the SkiCo website through the weekend. Currently lessons can be booked online beginning November 29th, when the company hopes more mountain terrain will be open.
