Parachute will consider marijuana again after pivotal spring vote

  Voters in Parachute have decided to keep Town Trustees who support growing marijuana businesses in town. The spring election ended Tuesday with a record turnout of more than two hundred ballots turned in.

But some in Parachute say the spring election doesn’t answer a larger question about whether lots of pot shops are a good idea. The town has seen a boom in marijuana-related businesses and proposals to start them. Aspen Public Radio’s Elise Thatcher talks with Ryan Hoffman, Editor of the Rifle Citizen Telegram.
