RFTA Nominated For State Art Award For Rio Grande ARTWay

Carbondale Arts

The Roaring Fork Transportation Authority, or RFTA, has been nominated for a state arts award for its work on Carbondale’s Rio Grande ARTWay.

The Colorado Business Committee for the Arts selected RFTA as one of 12 nominees for this year’s Business for the Arts Award.

RFTA partnered with Carbondale Arts to create the ARTway. The project spans a portion of the Rio Grande Trail near Carbondale’s downtown. It includes several different art installations headed up by community members and local artists, such as the Latino Folk Art Garden and DeRail Park.

The winner will be announced in March.
