Nearly 2,000 cyclists will roll through the valley this week as part of the “Ride the Rockies” bicycle tour.
Cyclists will ride over Independence Pass, through Aspen and on to Snowmass Village on the Owl Creek and Brush Creek trails Tuesday.
On Wednesday, the route takes riders to Carbondale on the Rio Grande Trail. The pack leaves the valley on the Crystal Trail on Thursday morning. Other users can expect heavy traffic on those roads and trails while the ride is in progress.
