Roaring Fork Valley Art Centers Launch Online Classes

Anderson Ranch Arts Center

Roaring Fork Valley art centers, galleries and museums are offering ways to tap into creativity at home. Carbondale Arts, the Red Brick Center for the Arts, Aspen Art Museum and Anderson Ranch Arts Center have launched virtual classes, how-to videos and even downloadable coloring pages as part of their pandemic programming.

Anderson Ranch Arts Center sends out mandala-inspired coloring pages every Monday. The Snowmass Village facility also has a summer-long lineup of virtual coursework aimed at artists of all ages.

Carbondale Arts hosts a weekly art tutorial for kids; classes are livestreamed at 2 p.m. on Wednesdays. The Carbondale Arts website has links to previous classes.

The Red Brick Center for the Arts has how-to videos and tutorials on their site, including lessons on paper-flower making and watercolors.

Aspen Art Museum is broadcasting art classes live to its Instgram account every Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. This week's class is "Nature Handprints" and includes step-by-step instructions and materials that can be found around the house.
