Sen. Bennett and Rep. Neguse Introduce CORE Act

Senator Michael Bennet and Congressman Joe Neguse introduced the Colorado Outdoor Recreation and Economy (CORE) Act on Tuesday, which protects approximately 400,000 acres of public land in Colorado from oil and gas development.

It combines four previously introduced bills: The Continental Divide Recreation, Wilderness, and Camp Hale Legacy Act, the San Juan Mountains Wilderness Act, the Thompson Divide Withdrawal and Protection Act, and the Curecanti National Recreation Area Boundary Establishment Act.

Zoë Rom spoke with Wilderness Workshop's Alicia Zeringue about what it means for the Roaring Fork Valley.
