Ski.com Offering Chance To Ski And Travel For 'Dream Job'

Ski.com

Ski.com, an Aspen-based travel company, is offering 12 people the chance to turn their next ski vacation into a paid gig. The company is soliciting applications for its “dream job:” travelling to ski resorts around the world and documenting the experience.

The winners will be paired up and sent to resorts throughout North America, as well as France and Japan.

Dan Sherman, Ski.com’s chief marketing officer, said his company is looking for people to document the destination beyond the slopes.

“The trip is about more than just skiing every day,” Sherman said. “It’s about experiencing what the vibe is all about, what the food is, what the nightlife is like; really, just an all-around view, a VIP view into what the resort atmosphere is,” he said.

Ski.com posted a similar job last year but only hired one traveler to visit a number of different destinations. They received nearly 1,200 applications. Sherman said the best candidates for this year’s job are well-rounded.

“We’re looking for somebody who has a really great personality,” Sherman said. “Somebody who’s passionate about being in the mountains, and somebody who’s not afraid to just go out there and have a really great experience.”

Interested skiers and snowboarders can apply by sending in a 90-second video. The deadline is October 29.
