'Small Wonders' opens tomorrow at Aspen Chapel Gallery

The Aspen Chapel Gallery opens its most popular show of the year tomorrow.

Thirty local artists bring eight pieces of art each to the show called “Small Wonders”. Each piece is small. No bigger than a foot wide, or round, or square.

Brian Colley is one of those artists. His pieces are sketches of the evening sky. Silver marks on blue paper where stars are in the night sky.

Ada Christensen is the curator of the show. She says it’s popular because of the reach it has into the community.

“I love that it’s small and affordable," says Christensen. "It’s really accessible art, and it’s all from local artists. You might have seen their names around, and you get to come and see - in one room - 30 of the local artists that you’ve heard about.”

The exhibition runs until early January.
