Sociologist studies Aspen's 'American Dream'

Jenny Stuber rode on a plane for the first time to come visit her dad in Aspen. It wasn’t just any private plane, it was John Denver’s private plane.

She was a little girl, and this left quite an impression on her, considering she and her mom were on welfare at the time.

Now Stuber is a sociologist with a particular interest in social class. She’s in Aspen, conducting research.

Professor Stuber joined Aspen Public Radio’s Wyatt Orme in the studio to discuss her project. They began their discussion by talking about the meaning of power in the community.
