The Temporary Celebrates One Year, Looks Ahead To The Future

www.tacaw.org/the-temporary

Friday, the Temporary in Basalt is celebrating its first birthday, and local rock and roll band Jes Grew will take the stage to mark the one-year milestone.

The Temporary hosted over 125 events over the past year. It also formed partnerships with several established Aspen arts organizations in order to bring films, concerts and performances to the midvalley.

Ryan Honey, executive director of The Arts Campus at Willits (TACAW), said one of the biggest highlights for him was collaborating with the Colorado Shakespeare Festival on a performance and discussion about school violence.

TACAW is moving ahead with plans to build a permanent 19,000 foot performing arts center in Willits.
