Theatre Aspen attendance on the rise

Theatre Aspen sold ten thousand tickets to their shows last year. With a little less than a month to go in their summer season, they’ve already sold eleven thousand.

The company’s first show of the season, Cabaret, has been sold out for the past three weeks.

Paige Price, the artistic director of Theatre Aspen says she is surprised by the success she’s seen, even if it’s what she hoped for.

“I am a little. I’m pleasantly surprised. I think that it’s a good sign. We had big goals this summer too, but it think it couldn’t have gone better.”

After the summer season, the company will debut a collection of shows performed in the Hurst Theatre.
