Theatre Aspen hires new general manager

Theatre Aspen

Theatre Aspen has hired Daniel Benavent as its new general manager.

Benavent has roots in both New York and Aspen. He’s served as managing director of theatrical productions at the Manhattan School of Music, and spent his past three summers with the Aspen Music Festival and School.

He takes the place of former general manager Sean Kehoe.

Jed Bernstein, Theatre Aspen’s executive director, said Benavent will start immediately.

He will oversee the 2018 summer productions "Ragtime," "Godspell" and "Our Town."  He said he wants to continue Theatre Aspen’s tradition of excellence and fun.
